Adam Riley grew up with a lifelong interest in wildlife. Coming from a farming background in the Pietermaritzburg area of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa he has traveled extensively in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Americas, and led numerous trips to those areas. Adam is one of Africa's most experienced birders, having seen well over 1800 species on the continent and over 2000 species in the region encompassing Africa and Madagascar. Adam contributed his extensive knowledge in the preparation of the bird locality guides for Robert's Birds on CD-ROM. He is also currently in the process of preparing a guide to birding in Madagascar. Adam is also a committee member of his local branch of BirdLife, and he regularly gives birding presentations to various birding clubs and school groups. Show tours with Adam.
